ESL Challenger League S43 groups revealed

ESL Challenger League Season 43 North America starts tomorrow and the groups have been drawn one day after ATK won Season 42.

Season 43 welcomes Magic School Bus directly from ESEA Advanced S42 after earning first place and Villainous, Red Wolves, and Snakes Den. The last three teams come from ECL Relegation. The four newcomers are coming to replace Davenport, Task Force 141, and Unjustified, who were relegated. The other team that left a vacant spot for ESL Challenger League S43 was Brazen, which had to disband its roster due to personal reasons.

The league will maintain its structure, with two groups, each with eight teams, and then a playoff stage with a double elimination bracket, where all games are BO3 series except the grand final, which will be a BO5 game.

Group A is home for both Brazilian teams playing this season, as well as for Snakes Den, the only new team in this group. Can someone dethrone the Brazilians during Season 43? MIBR only dropped one map last time around, and oNe only dropped two — both in their clash against MIBR. On the North American side, can Kari reach the playoffs this time after getting very close in the last season?

Group B will see both finalists from ESL Challenger League Season 42 NA in the same group, with Nouns indeed wanting to get revenge. This group presents a great chance for a newcomer to go through to the playoffs, as five of the eight teams had to fight through relegation to be here this season. Is there a possibility for a magical run? The core from BHOP is now Disconnected, the core that dominated the relegation stage.

The first matches of ESL Challenger League Season 43 NA will have Snakes Den debuting against Kari and Nouns facing Mythic tomorrow at 08:00PM.
