zevy and skullz are paiN’s final pieces
Only a few hours before the start of IEM Road to Rio South American open qualifiers, paiN announced the signing of Romeu “zevy” Rocco and Felipe “skullz” Medeiros in what is being called the most expensive transfer of Brazilian Counter-Strike.
Despite being a very skilled player, the thing that catches the eye in this transfer is the price paid to have zevy on paiN. As reported by Dust2 Brasil, the team paid $330,000 for the services of the young player. zevy, also known as “zevyce” due to his AWPing skills, joins paiN after leaving Sharks, where he spent one and a half years as the owner of the big green. The 21-year-old is now joining the most skilled roster of his career and, if his stats maintain, paiN is expected to climb up a few places and be in the fight for the best Brazilian team title.
skullz joins paiN after winning CLUTCH Season 4 Finals with ODDIK. The 20-year-old has been consistently rising throughout his career and the future looks bright for him. The addition of skullz to the roster was overshadowed by the values behind zevy’s transfer, but his performances in the server may show why that can be a mistake.
The new-looking paiN roster is:
-
Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt
-
Vinicios "PKL" Coelho
-
Wesley "hardzao" Lopes
-
Felipe "skullz" Medeiros
-
Romeu "zevy" Rocco
-
Henrique "rikz" Waku (Coach)
-
Gabriel "nython" Lino (Inactive)
paiN's second game with the new additions will be against ANVIL ACADEMY, as the team continues their journey for a spot in the IEM Road to Rio Americas RMR.
