Gaimin Gladiators lose founding member
Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly has announced his exit from Gaimin Gladiators. This news comes after their 2-0 defeat to Gas Money in the fourth ESEA x Fragadelphia Summer Cash Cup last night.
nosraC's exit from the lineup marks the end of a lengthy tenure with the squad, dating back to the team's year-long time playing under the ChocoCheck moniker before being signed by Gaimin Gladiators back in March. Across the numerous iterations of the squad, nosraC has managed to average a respectable 1.05 rating over 247 maps, notably helping his team to numerous ESEA Cash Cup victories alongside a couple of top-four finishes in ESEA Premier/ECL in the process.
However, his time with the roster didn't come without controversy, with the side infamously forfeiting the ESEA Premier Season 39 grand finals versus Extra Salt after numerous circumstances left the team unable to field a full lineup. This saw paiN receive the second-place of $12,000 and a place in ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference.
When contacted by Dust2.us, nosraC explained the reason for his departure was due to disagreements on the direction of the team. Gaimin Gladiators appeared to be mulling rosters changes earlier in the month, as Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz was spotted playing in place of Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel during the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2022 Closed Qualifier. However, with stanislaw reportedly being locked in with EG.CD that move fell by the wayside, potentially exacerbating the team's disagreements over future plans.
Gaimin Gladiators are now:
-
Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel
-
Jeorge "jeorgesnorts" Endicott
-
David "cynic" Polster
-
Brendan "Bwills" Williams
-
Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen (Coach)
Gaimin Gladiators have just over a week to find a new fifth, as ESL Challenger League Season 42 is set to begin on August 16th.
