UPDATE: Swahn wades down from Chris and the boys
Christopher "Swahn" Swahn has announced his departure from Chris and the boys on Twitter, citing the team as "the best and by far the most successful team" he played on. He had been a part of the roster ever since they topped ESEA Main in Season 28, dropping only a single map in the playoffs while going flawless in the regular season.
Chris and the boys, still under the iNTACT banner at the time, placed 5-8th in the MDL Season 30 playoffs following a loss to Singularity. Not long after the end of the season, the team's in-game leader Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman tried out for Singularity, earning a place on the team shortly after their win in the Mythic Cup.
Chris and the boys added a former coach, Rich "Rich" Sylvestri, to fill the gap, leading to Swahn picking up the in-game leader role. Following the past three weeks of "trying to keep the dream alive", Swahn has now stepped down from the roster, and is open to offers from other teams.
This leaves Chris and the boys with:
- William "will" Cheng
- Gabe "Spongey" Greiner
- Jake "kaboose" McDonald
- Rich "Rich" Sylvestri
- Mark "markalodon" Rose (Coach)
Gabe "Spongey" Greiner took to Twitter after Swahn's departure to announce that the team are now in search of an in-game leader. Chris and the boys are currently 0-3 in Group C of WINNERS League Season 2, and await the start of MDL Season 31.
UPDATE: Hours after Swahn's announcement, Jake "kaboose" McDonald announced that he would be looking for a new team as well, and has already left the team's ESEA roster.
Followed by another Tweet from Spongey, leaving the future of the team in serious doubt.
