Report: malbsMd to remain contractually tied to 00 Nation until October

According to sources with knowledge of his contractual situation, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa will remain tied to 00 Nation until October unless he is bought out of his contract or released early. malbsMd joined 00 Nation in early January as part of a complete rebuild by the Norwegian organization that saw Marcelo "coldzera" David take the helm as IGL.

This new coldzera-led roster, despite it's strong core of young stars, utterly crashed and burned in the first half of 2022, failing to qualify to the Major in a relatively weak RMR field while struggling to find wins during their time in Europe. Following their last official matches in April, 00 Nation have slowly benched or released the remaining pieces of their roster, with the exception of coldzera and Santino "try" Rigal, while reportedly working to acquire the core of GODSENT's lineup.

With that acquisition seemingly a done deal based on the recently released bracket for IEM Cologne, any chance of malbsMd returning to 00 Nation's lineup is incredibly unlikely. It is understood by Dust2.us that malbsMd's contract stipulates he can leave the organization after sitting on their bench for six months, with the countdown starting in mid-April, despite malbsMd only officially being benched in June.

Recently, malbsMd played a single series for his former team, oNe, in ESL Challenger League Season 41. Despite an earlier report that oNe were targeting his return as a permanent replacement for Enzo "xns" Henrique, he will not be playing for the team during relegation. Dust2.us has reached out to oNe to clarify this situation but did not hear back by the time of publication.
