More Brazilians pull out of playoffs
The Swedish-based Brazilian team will no longer be participating in the ESL Challenger League Season 41 playoffs this season, following in the footsteps of MIBR. Replacing the Brazilians will be Gaimin Gladiators who finished with a 4-3 record. With Gaimin replacing GODSENT at this last minute, there has been another re-seeding of the playoffs much to the benefit of Evil Geniuses and paiN who play Brazen and Mythic, respectively.
Just like the case with MIBR, extended travel for GODSENT players in Europe has resulted in them electing to skip out on playoffs for this season, despite handling the competition with with relative ease. They only lost to paiN in their opening league match before winning the next six to finish with a 6-1 record and top of their conference.
As Dust2.us has stated before, it is proving increasingly difficult for the Brazilians as they are regular invitees to a number of events that have required them to leave NA for weeks on end, a unique problem in the semi-pro climate of NA ECL. With both MIBR and GODSENT electing to pull out of the ECL playoffs, it will now be harder for them to forge a path to ESL Pro League Season 17.
With Gaimin Gladiators replacing GODSENT, ECL Season 41 playoffs are now:
paiN vs Mythic
Brazen vs Evil Geniuses
ATK vs BHOP
Gaimin Gladiators vs Strife
