A highlight of aris' career was winning Fragadelphia 16 at the start of the year

aris leaves Strife and retires from CS:GO

Changing real life priorities and a loss of passion have resulted in aris stepping away from CS:GO.

Paul "aris" Wilson has stepped down from Strife and confirmed to Dust2.us that he has made the decision to retire from CS:GO, citing changing real life priorities and a loss of passion for the game. As a result of his sudden departure, Strife will be on the lookout for a new fifth less than a month after adding Estonian journeyman Kristjan "fejtZ" Allsaar to the lineup.

Prior to joining Strife, aris played in ESEA Advanced for three years on a number of notable rosters including X13 and Veloz where he came close to qualifying for Premier on multiple occasions. aris finally had a chance to play Premier/ECL when he joined stamina's squad at the start of 2021. While part of this new-look Strife lineup, the team found their highest level of success since their founding, winning Fragadelphia 16 and claiming a fourth-place finish in ESL Challenger League Season 40.

stamina told Dust2.us that Strife are now in the process of starting tryouts for a new fifth, although they are in incredibly early stages as aris only told the team he was leaving today.

Strife are now:

  • United States Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan

  • Canada David "J0LZ" Jolin

  • United States Bobby "stamina" Eitrem

  • Kristjan "fejtZ" Allsaar

  • Anton "ToH1o" Georgiev (Coach)

Strife have a week to find a new fifth if they want to play the first ESL Challenger Valencia open qualifier, which is set to start on May 19th.
