s1mple: "In terms of strategy, gameplay, and meta, I think Complexity are a step ahead"

In an immediate post-game interview after warding off two dangerous comebacks by Complexity, Anastasija "Heccu" Tolmaceva spoke with Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev about the two North American teams in the group:

I already asked this question to Heroic and I want to ask you because you already got to play against EG and against Complexity, do you think Complexity is the better NA team than EG?

s1mple almost looked in disbelief at the question, before he explained that he believed "EG is much better with their firepower" however the Complexity squad was "a step ahead" when looking at "strategies, gameplay, and meta."

It's hard to disagree with s1mple's analysis of each team when looking at the rosters and how each team performed against the Ukrainian powerhouse. Evil Geniuses have several Major winners and each player has had years of top level international experience under their belt, however in their match against NAVI they were unable to convert many rounds and were brushed aside in a 2-0 sweep. In comparison, Complexity's lineup features players that have had extremely limited experience due to COVID-19 forcing teams to stay in their home region and this being their first time involved with a major organization.

With Evil Geniuses being eliminated from playoff contention today in their 0-2 loss to Heroic, Complexity find their backs against the wall. They will need to be victorious in their remaining matchups against Evil Geniuses and Astralis, while rooting for AGO to lose to Evil Geniuses and Astralis to lose against Natus Vincere.
