Evil Geniuses and Party Astronauts secure RMR spots; paiN clinch last spot to round out NA RMR attendees
The final day of the last NA RMR Open Qualifier over! The final three spots go to Party Astronauts, Evil Geniuses, and paiN. The NA RMR Qualifiers have concluded, thank you all for tuning in!
12:25AM paiN secure last NA RMR slot
In the last game of the night, paiN defeated Snakes Den in two maps to take the seventh and last NA RMR slot up for grabs. The Snakes' pick of Vertigo did not go according to plan, with the Advanced team only picking up four rounds in the entirety of the map. paiN also made their mark on their own map pick, picking up 12 rounds on their CT-side. Snakes Den managed a mini comeback, but the deficit was simply too large to overcome. paiN closed out the map 16-11 and with that victory, they closed out the NA RMR as well. The three teams who succeeded today along with the four who did so on Friday and Furia will go to Romania to represent North America and fight for slots at the Antwerp Major. 11:15PM Party Astronauts Win!
In the grand final best-of-one, Party Astronauts dismantled Evil Geniuses on Inferno, claiming the top seed in this event. The half was dead even, slightly learning towards the groovy spacemen, but as soon as the Geniuses moved onto T-side, nothing worked for them. The astronauts took eight rounds in a row, and with them, the victory. Frankly, it wasn't close. All five Party Astronauts achieved higher ratings than all of the Evil Geniuses. Nonetheless, this is nothing more than a seeding match, so the historic organization shouldn't feel too distraught. They'll both join the winner of paiN and Snakes Den in Romania along with the four other teams who qualified on Friday.

09:40PM Semifinals
Evil Geniuses needed to make up for the disastrously poor performance in the first open qualifier, and oh boy did they deliver. They started their qualification match versus paiN red-hot, quickly stacking up 10 rounds on the CT-side of Nuke, and they never looked back. paiN did eventually bring some rounds into their favor but it was too little too late as the American side breezed to a quick and easy 16-8 victory. Mirage was a closer affair, despite being picked by the side of Evil Geniuses. paiN racked up an early 7-2 lead, but Jake "Stewie2k" Yip's troops mounted a strong mini-comeback, leaving the half as close as can be. Tasked then with attacking, the Americans fought fiercly, with the Brazilians responding likewise, taking the map the full thirty rounds. However, a strong showing from Timothy "autimatic" Ta brought the tickets home for the boys, amassing an impressive 32 kills through the map. Evil Geniuses now join the four teams which prevailed on Friday along with Party Astronauts who won their semi-final match-up as well.

The Party Astronauts, quite frankly, trounced Snakes Den. It wasn't all too competitive with the Snakes only claiming 16 rounds combined between the two maps. Nonetheless, context must be given, as Snakes Den are an above-average Advanced team taking on an entrenched Challenger League team who are slated to go to Europe soon. It was an impressive showing considering the circumstances, and they'll yet still have another chance to make it to Romania in their third-place decider match against paiN. Now then, six of the sever slots have been awarded. The qualifiers are almost done, and the day is almost over. Just a couple matches to go.

06:30PM Quarterfinals - Party Astronauts complete comeback to send ATK home
The first quarterfinal saw Party Astronauts complete the comeback versus ATK, securing a 16-13 victory on the back of a ten-round CT-side streak while paiN carried the Brazilian flag high on their way to a 16-7 victory over Third Impact. Meanwhile, Evil Geniuses have booked their spot in the semifinals after dispatching of Carpe Diem 16-10 on Inferno whilst Snakes Den reigned supreme over Brazen with a 16-11 scoreline on Vertigo.

05:00PM Round of 16 - GODSENT eliminated after falling to ATK 16-10 on Overpass
The first round of day two saw Party Astronauts hit the ground running with a swift 16-5 victory over DotMax whilst Carpe Diem repelled a Strife comeback to narrowly win 16-14. Elsewhere, Evil Geniuses managed to advance to the quarterfinals with a 16-11 victory over UYU while paiN took care of business with a 16-4 trouncing over Gaimin Gladiators.
