3DMAX eliminate Singularity from Global Challenge; take home title

The Frenchmen head home with a Pro League spot and a win at Global Challenge in hand.

3DMAX have won MDL Global Challenge Season 29 after defeating Kinguin in the grand finals. Before they took down Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and co., they had to prevail over Singularity in the semifinals to start the day, a feat they achieved with a 2-0 victory (19-16 Nuke, 16-5 Inferno).

The Frenchmen kicked off Singularity's pick of Nuke on the CT side, putting up a 3-0 lead before Singularity countered with one of their own. A swift reset followed to allow 3DMAX to push up to a 7-1 scoreline, and once again Singularity were reset after finding a single round to allow 3DMAX to cruise through the remainder of their CT side for a 13-2 half.

Singularity didn't falter despite the grim scoreline as they took nine rounds straight on their own CT side, and much like 3DMAX did to them, reset the Frenchmen after their first T side round win. Another three rounds followed for Singularity, but 3DMAX were the first to post match point before Singularity countered to take the map into overtime. There, 3DMAX proved too strong as they only gave up a single round to Singularity, taking the map 19-16 in their favor.

Singularity were unable to get much going on Inferno, with 3DMAX grabbing a 5-0 lead before two rounds went the way of the Americans. 3DMAX weren't to be halted as another five rounds granted them a 10-2 lead, and although Singularity managed to edge out two more rounds in the half, 3DMAX posted an 11-4 lead as they swapped over to their own CT side.

The Frenchmen swiftly attained match point by securing the first four rounds of the second half, and granted Singularity just one final round before their claimed their spot in the grand finals by taking Inferno 16-5.

Despite losing their own map pick of Cache 16-12, 3DMAX were able to bounce back on the deciding map of Dust2 with a 16-5 win to claim victory at Global Challenge.
