Rickeh to miss EPL Relegation
Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland will not play in the ESL Pro League Season 8 Relegation tournament with Rogue, the Australian player revealed late Wednesday evening. Accompanying his tweet with a picture of him in Australia, Rickeh went on to say that he had to return to his homeland to renew his visa, and that he "totally wanted to go to [Relegation] kappa".
Dust2.us knows that Rogue have reached out to WESA regarding an emergency transfer, but if a transfer is not granted Rogue would be forced to field Michael "Uber" Stapells, who has been a substitute player on the Rogue roster for over a year while he has been teamless. This would be the second time in three seasons that Uber steps in for Rogue during EPL Relegation, having already helped the team hold on to their slot in January against Rise Nation when he replaced Collin "wrath" McSweegan on the team's roster.
Uber's last logged official match was with The Onliners at the WESG 2017 Grand Finals in March, where the team were eliminated in the group stage after losses to Cloud9 and fnatic and a win over SCARZ Absolute.
If Uber was to hop on board, Rogue's roster for EPL Relegation would look as follows:
- Daniel "vice" Kim
- Spencer "Hiko" Martin
- Hunter "SicK" Mims
- Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen
- Michael "Uber" Stapells (Stand-in)
EPL Relegation is set to kick off on December 5th, with the first round of matches beginning around 3:30 PM EST.
