ESEA announces U.S. National Championship program
ESEA have announced the launch of the ESEA U.S. National Championship, which will be produced in association with ESL. The program will showcase up-and-coming talent competing within Rank G on the road to being promoted to Rank S.
The first of the two shows that comprise the U.S. National Championship is Basecamp, which will be hosted by Mark "boq" Wilson on Mondays, featuring casts of live Rank G matches and highlights from the week. The second show is called The Ascent, which broadcasts on Fridays, showcasing highlights, interviews, and statistics from the week of Rank G.
The first season of the program is set to premier on December 7th, following the end of the first day of the MDL Global Challenge, at 9:30 PM EST. Broadcasts are set to continue every week throughout December, with the finale airing on January 7th, which will showcase the two players that will be promoted to Rank S.
The U.S. National Championship comes as a part of ESEA's push to compete with FACEIT's FPL platform, which saw the organization move to a daily format for prizes and also drastically increase the total amount of prize money given to players across the top divisions.
More information and the full schedule can be found on ESEA's official blog. The episodes will be available to watch on ESL and ESEA's Twitch channnels.
