Insomniuhh withdraws from ESEA Next Big Caster
Matthew "Insomniuhh" Cota has announced over social media that he has withdrawn from the ESEA Next Big Caster challenge, which is currently in its second stage as the Global Challenge draws closer.
The caster did not share the reasons for why he has taken himself out of the running, though now-deleted tweets point towards personal reasons. Insomniuhh may also have been worried that, should he win, he will share the fate of the competition's previous winner.
This is the second iteration of the ESEA Next Big Caster challenge, with Insomniuhh having been in the running for both. His withdrawal leaves the field at a scant two:
- Mike "DarfMike" Winnick
- Mitch "MagicHelmetTV" Langford
On the line for the winner of the challenge is the opportunity to work at the upcoming MDL Global Challenge for Season 29, where eight teams from around the world will face off for their share of $50,000. It is expected that ESL Pro League Relegation will take place there as well, as it has in previous years.
