Stewie2K named to Forbes' 30 under 30 for Games
Jake "Stewie2K" Yip has been named as one of 30 personalities in the Forbes 30 under 30 — Games list for 2019. He is the only CS:GO professional on the list, with his MIBR teammate Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo having achieved the same feat in the 2017 edition.
Stewie2K's bio on the site honors his win on Cloud9 at the ELEAGUE Major Boston at the start of the year, granting North America it's first Major title, concluding with a mention of MIBR's first place finish at ZOTAC Cup Masters.
Other notable CS:GO-related personalities who have made the list in the past include Sue "Smix" Lee, Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat, and Immortals/MIBR CEO Noah Winston, who was one of the three judges on the panel for this year's list.
MIBR most recently exited IEM Chicago in 9-12th place after best-of-three losses to FaZe and NRG in the group stage. A gamut of LAN events await them to close out the year as they have qualified for both ECS Season 6 Finals and EPL Season 8 Finals, and will head to BLAST Pro Series Lisbon shortly after the two league finals to round out their run.
MIBR are set to play compLexity tomorrow at 8 PM EST for their final two EPL matches, where the team has to secure just one more point to conclusively hold on to their top seed. Should they lose both matches outright, Ghost would snatch away the top seed with their head-to-head score against MIBR.
