AZIO and former team undergo ugly divorce
AZIO have lost their CS:GO team tonight, in a sequence of events that innocuously began with Logan "Voltage" Long stating that AZIO would not be playing against Fam143 in Gfinity Spring Series or cantwinalan in ESEA MDL tonight, and that the team would "explain everything later."
Shortly before the second tweet, Richard Lewis had posted one of his own:
As Dust2.us has learned, what was going on at the AZIO teamhouse was that the internet had been shut off after the organization had learned the players had signed contracts with another organization — Spacestation.
According to sources, at the time of the team's qualification to FACEIT's ECS Season 6 they were not under contract with AZIO.
AZIO later put out a statement on the unfolding situation, corroborating that the players had not been under contract, despite their best efforts:
AZIO's former roster was:
- Trevor "FrostayK" Bandle
- Ryan "Snakes" Amann
- Michael "Grim" Wince
- Gage "Infinite" Green
- Logan "Voltage" Long
- Teric "Bibby" Ingram (Coach)
- Joshua "Hunter" Madore (Substitute)
Though a majority of the team had either left/been cut from the ESEA roster earlier, they have since rejoined, with Jordan "tryhard" Trabue finding himself on the outs — likely a result of the organization trying to retain control of the roster but being mutinied.
While the team were set to take on eUnited in ECS Season 6 tomorrow, it is unknown what will happen to the team's spot in the league at this point in time.
Dust2.us has reached out to representatives on both sides of the matter, with tryhard deferring to commenting on the situation tomorrow. Voltage, seemingly speaking for his teammates, has posted the following:
