Vision lose floppy; motm to stand-in
With Week 2 of MDL underway, Ricky "floppy" Kemery has announced over social media that he has parted ways with Vision. floppy's departure comes after a string of disappointing results, with Vision falling to AZIO and Bravado in the first week of MDL. The team were also struck by another loss to AZIO in the second ECS Challenger Cup qualifier, where they were knocked out 2-0 in the last round of the bracket.
While the exact reasons for the player's departure are not yet known, Dust2.us has been informed that he wanted to step down and take a break from the game.
floppy first came into prominence on Torqued, where he was briefly trialed before being subsequently released 22 days later. After a one-week trial with Armada, floppy eventually found himself on F1-racecar-PEEK, who would later go on to sign with Vision.
With Vision, floppy found success at a multitude of events, winning Tokyo in Tulsa 2 and the Cougar CS:GO Open, and reaching the grand finals of MDL in Season 28. The team eventually reached the Top 10 of our rankings, debuting in 10th this month.
With floppy out of Vision, the team have enlisted the aid of Ian "motm" Hardy to stand-in for their MDL matches in the meantime. The former AZIO player has been left without a team since the beginning of September after Logan "Voltage" Long joined the team's active roster.
It is currently unknown whether Vision are looking to have motm join the roster on a permanent deal, as the team explore options in order to return to the MDL playoffs this season.
As such, Vision's current roster for MDL Season 29 is:
- Gabe "Spongey" Greiner
- Jake "kaboose" McDonald
- Andy "vSa" Xu
- Alex "aproto" Protopapas
- Ian "motm" Hardy (Stand-in)
- Mark "markalodon" Rose (coach)
Vision's first match of the post-floppy era will come tonight against ETHEREAL, at 10 PM EDT.
