Beacon cut MAiNLiNE; add tyfoon
The move was announced by Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic in the early hours of Friday morning, and later confirmed by the organization.
The player that Lesnic would be replacing was not revealed by either himself or the organization, but Dust2.us has learned that it is none other than Michael "MAiNLiNE" Jaber. Jaber was unquestionably the most experienced member of the team, having played three seasons of ESL Pro League under Method, Enemy, and Selfless.
As for tyfoon, he played the majority of the season with CheckSix after replacing Nolan "Temperature" Pepper. In his first season at the MDL/Premier level, the 16 year-old rifler posted a respectable 1.10 rating, despite CheckSix's sub-.500 record.
Beacon's roster is now:
- Ryan "GRAMPZ" Baber
- Kyle "C0NVICT" Battell
- Ryan "ryan" Welsh
- Thomas "tconnors" Connors
- Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic
- Michael "agM" Abood (Coach)
Lesnic's debut with the team and Beacon's last match of the regular season will be tonight at 9 PM EST. A win would guarantee their spot in the league's playoffs, but a loss combined with other events would see them left out in the cold — and without a shot at promotion to the ESL Pro League.
Beacon are also currently in the CEVO Main Season 13 playoffs, where there next match in the upper bracket will be played on November 13 against SoaR Gaming.
