Geostorm lose malbsMd, add Blakers, move hurikaNe to coach
As the next ESEA season approaches, Geostorm's roster is going through a rocky patch as the team looks to let a roster settle before their first match. The 15-year-old Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa will not be playing with the team, despite joining just a few days ago, Dust2.us has learned.
The player's sudden departure is due to an active contract being invoked by Jaguar, who malbsMd had previously signed with. Jaguar are looking to build their roster up with malbsMd again after winning ESEA's Latin America division with the player last season.
With the Guatemalan player out of the team, Geostorm look to rebuild their roster to accommodate for the sudden change. The team have brought on the services of Blake "Blakers" Reynolds to "fill [malbsMd's] void," with Scott "hurikaNe" Hill moving to a coaching position. Blakers previously played with CERUS, who competed in Advanced last season, making it to the playoffs before falling to Guerrilla Tactics in the round of 16.
It has been confirmed to us that Geostorm and malbsMd look to reunite after the end of the player's contract with Jaguar. It is unknown whether Blakers or the team's future fifth player will be cut to make room for the Guatemalan player. Geostorm are currently evaluating options, with Bruno "WiGGY" Rabani currently being tried out with the team.
Geostorm's roster for Season 29 is currently:
- Cole "ColeUP" Werry
- Jason "Jmoh" Mohandessi
- Brite "Brite" Bang
- Blake "Blakers" Reynolds
- Scott "hurikaNe" Hill (Coach)
