Even against international talent, MarKE takes the FPL cake once again

As mentioned previously, this week of FPL coincides with ELEAGUE Premier 2018. As such, talent from teams such as fnatic and Astralis also competed in FPL during their downtime. Notably, Astralis' Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth placed fifth, the highest of any European player this week. Lower down, players such as Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer, Robin "ropz" Kool, and Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev can be found in the rankings, with some players playing as little as two games this week.

Despite the world-class talent, MDL players still remain dominant in the standings, with players such as Austin "Cooper-" Abadir and Victor "food" Wong sitting high in the rankings.

Moving down to FPL-C, FPL's Challenger division is nearing its end for July, as the top players compete for the two FPL spots. At the top sits Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic with 128 more points than Alexander "zander" Diaz, who is currently only second.

Rank Name Points Prize
1.  Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic 1382 $1,250 + FPL
2. United States Alexander "zander" Diaz 1254 $750 + FPL
3. Canada Randy "Smiley" Sandoval 1250 $500
4. United States "Leaf" 1236 $250
5. United States Brandon "BOOBIE" Robert 1224 $250

Note: FPL-C prizes are distributed monthly, none of these players have won anything

In third place, Randy "Smiley" Sandoval has fallen from his second place finish last week. With three days to go and lying only four points below zander, Smiley has a chance to take back his spot or be usurped by another player such as Leaf. The battle in the top 5 will be heated, and we'll be providing updates when the month ends and the placements are finalized on August 1st.
