trk shines as oNe outlast eUnited in StarSeries NA qualifier
oNe have emerged victorious from their quarterfinal bout against eUnited in the StarSeries i-League Season 6 qualifier. The series saw the Brazilians take face eUnited on Train, Nuke, and Overpass, with 91 rounds of play occuring across the three maps.
eUnited tried to take quick control on Train by securing their T side pistol round, but a force-buy from oNe allowed Alencar "trk" Rossato and co. the room to fight back for a 3-1 lead. A trading of rounds ensued, with oNe coming out on top with trk continuing to step up for the Brazilian side.
A 9-6 CT half gave oNe a good shot going into the second half of their map pick, but eUnited secured their second pistol round of the series to even the score to 9-9. Despite economically resetting oNe after the first gun round went the Brazilians' way, eUnited were unable to find any additional rounds and found themselves derailed as trk helped close out the map 16-10 for oNe.
The Brazilians get off to a hot start on Nuke as the first pistol round went their way. Despite falling to eUnited's force-buy in the next round, oNe were able to reply back to regain control and muster a 5-1 lead. Once eUnited stabilized their economy and managed to get an AWP on Brandon "Ace" Winn, the odds shifted in their favor for a seven round streak to bring the score to 8-5 in their favor. oNe managed to keep the scoreline close going into the second half as the remaining two rounds in the half went their way for an 8-7 scoreline.
Another pistol round victory for eUnited allowed the North Americans to push onwards to a 13-7 lead, but oNe fought back to be the first team to claim match point. eUnited found the resolve to pushed the map to overtime, where Ace once again shined on the AWP alongside his teammates to take the series to a third map.
In similar fashion to the first two maps, oNe took an early lead with a first round pistol victory on Overpass and managed to extend their lead to 8-3 after resetting eUnited twice. The North Americans fought back with a force-buy to close the deficit to 7-8, much like oNe had done to them in the first half of Nuke.
eUnited took their fourth pistol round of the series at the start of the final half, following up with the ensuing anti-ecos to put themselves ahead 10-8. trk continued to shine for oNe as the Brazilians took seven of the next nine rounds to claim match point first, managing to close out the map 16-14 after putting a halt to a small comeback attempt from eUnited.

With this win, oNe have advanced to the semifinals of the StarSeries Season 6 qualifier playoffs. They await the winner of the final quarterfinal matchup between compLexity and Dignitas, which is set to begin after NRG and Swole Patrol's semifinal matchup at 7 PM EDT due to scheduling conflicts with MDL playoffs.
