IEM Shanghai talent announced
The broadcast team for the next IEM stop in Shanghai, running from August 1st-6th at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, has been revealed. The ten-man team will be covering the action for the $300,000 event, where many of the world's top teams are absent due to the event taking place at the same time as the August player break.
Also due to the event's conflicts with the player break, a win at IEM Shanghai will not contribute towards the $1,000,000 Intel Grand Slam circuit. As notable teams like FaZe, Astralis, and MIBR will not be in attendance, North America's very own NRG will instead take up the mantle — where they will be joined by the likes Gambit, HellRaisers, TyLoo, and Virtus.pro as the teams compete for the trophy.
Bringing the action on broadcast will be Tres "stunna" Saranthus, who will be hosting the desk. Joining him will be a trio of analysts in Halvor "Vendetta" Gulestol, Sudhen "Bleh" Wahengbam, and Jacob "Pimp" Winneche, while notable names on the casting side of talent includes Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett, Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill, and Harry "JustHarry" Russell.
