virtus checks out of CheckSix
The team headed by MDL veteran Josh "joshbM" Blier, CheckSix, have lost a player in Daniel "virtus" Carrillo, the team's AWPer. CheckSix notably placed bottom eight in Season 27 of MDL, and it is unsure if they will retain a spot in Season 28.
The American veteran has been around the block in North America, playing for names like SKDC, Leader-1, and Pnda. He also played part of a season of Pro League with Rush alongside Matt "Pollo" Wilson, Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne, David "Toy" Han, and others.
Their last event was the open qualifier for DreamHack Austin, where joshbM's men placed only top 16, losing hard to Etherian on Inferno. The team fielded Alex "retrQ" Kadan in the fifth spot for the event.
CheckSix's roster as of now is:
- Josh "joshbM" Blier
- Jacob "L0NER" Webster
- Nassir "rugrat" Francique
- David "Sneaky" Polster
- Joseph "joseph" Burkhart (Coach)
UPDATE: virtus provided the following comment to Dust2.us:
I just wanted to start by saying a huge thank you to CheckSix and the team for giving me the opportunity to play for them. Due to circumstance outside of CS, it has become too difficult to maintain playing on CheckSix as my main source of income.
I appreciate the time spent on the team and wish them all the best of luck!
