Mask Off lose Vanity; jcrueL returns
Last night Anthony "Vanity" Malaspina announced he would be taking a break from CS:GO, and hence stepping down from Mask Off.
Vanity joined the Mask Off roster back in mid-January, just in time for Season 27 of ESEA MDL. Dust2.us has learned that Joel "jcrueL" Cruel is slated to be the team's new fifth, and he will reunited with Ryan "GRAMPZ" Baber in doing so. The player spent several seasons in MDL with Vault and eUnited, before stepping down to less time consuming levels of play in Main.
Mask Off's proposed roster with the addition of jcrueL would be as follows:
- Ryan "GRAMPZ" Baber
- Cameron "Hydrex" Kern
- Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic
- Tyler "tweiss" Weiss
- Joel "jcrueL" Cruel
- Keith "Seaside" LaFortune (Coach)
The team currently holds a 5-3 record in ESEA MDL after going 1-2 this week. It is likely that jcrueL's first matches with the squad will come in the ECS Season 5 Closed Qualifier, which will take place over the weekend. He also presumably would attend the Mad City Chicago CS:GO Open with the team after they finished runners-up in the online portion of the event.
