Iceberg replace crux with djay; raz to fill for Freedom 35
John "crux" Cogal announced on Twitter today that he was parting ways with his long time team Iceberg. The Canadian had played with this squad since Season 25, back when they were under the name Ajax. Last season, Iceberg placed in the middle of the pack with an 8-8 record, and hope to have a chance of making playoffs in Season 27.
Replacing him is fellow Canadian Jonathan "djay" Dallal, who had just joined up with Sam "4sh0t" Mariano in Freedom 35 to play in the spot of Torqued. Before this, djay had played for CLG Academy until they were relegated and ultimately dropped from the organization.
Filling djay's spot on Freedom 35 is Duncan "raz" Lee, who interestingly enough last played for Iceberg last season. Before that squad, raz had also played in Insomnia with Victor "cardiac" Kwan and Roy "Strong Legs" Ahad.
Here is Iceberg's new lineup heading into MDL:
- Nick "alter" Jackson
- Brenden "stellar" McGrath
- Warren "hades" Rettich
- Thomas "tconnors" Connors
- Jonathan "djay" Dallal
- Mike "agM" Abood (Coach)
and the new roster for Freedom 35:
- Sam "4sh0t" Mariano
- Neil "montE" Montgomery
- Victor "food" Wong
- Ryan "Winsum" Johns
- Duncan "raz" Lee
