Party Astronauts, Marsborne advance to IEM Dallas 2025 NA Closed Qualifier
Party Astronauts and Marsborne were the winners of the IEM Dallas 2025 North American open qualifier, which featured 133 teams and took place between February 7th to 8th.
This put them in the IEM Dallas 2025 NA Closed Qualifier, to which BOSS and NRG were handed invites based on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
The IEM Dallas 2025 NA Open Qualifier put all teams in a single-elimination bracket and all matches were best-of-one series apart from the semifinals. Both Party Astronauts and Marsborne had a bye in the first round.
Then, Party Astronauts went on to defeat team_SmileSLD (13-1), Hot Loaders (13-2), Juiceys Juicers (13-3), Mythic (13-2), and Chill Guys (13-4) en route to the top four. Party Astronauts met Akimbo in the semifinals and won by 2-1 off the back of a great individual performance from Colby "Walco" Walsh on all three maps.

As for Marsborne, they defeated K1 (13-1), OnlyToms (13-2), asd444 (13-7), Alter Iron Club (13-7), and Getting Info (13-9) before meeting Nouns in the semifinals.
While Marsborne took Nouns down with a 2-0 victory, the series was everything but easy as Nuke went to overtime and Ancient was well-contested as well. The difference-maker for Marsborne was the veteran Ian "motm" Hardy, who got a +19 K/D difference after these narrow victories.

The IEM Dallas 2025 NA Closed Qualifier, which runs between February 11th to 12th, will place BOSS, NRG, Party Astronauts, and Marsborne in a double-elimination bracket. All matches will be best-of-three series and the winner will join Liquid as an NA representative.
