Update: Bad News Bears set sights on Minus as he departs ATK
Update: Minus has confirmed to Dust2.us that he was in discussions with Bad News Bears but has decided to move away from further talks with the team due to an undisclosed future project he is involved in.
Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz has stepped down from ATK, leaving the South African roster after less than a month with the team.
Dust2.us knows that Minus left ATK to pursue new opportunities and is currently short-listed as a potential replacement for Paytyn "junior" Johnson on Bad News Bears. As previously reported, junior is set to replace Josh "oSee" Ohm on Extra Salt with the latter player being announced by Liquid today.
During his short tenure with ATK, Minus helped the South Africans narrowly avoid Pre-Relegation in ESEA Premier Season 39, claiming a win over Detonate while dropping series to Strife and Extra Salt. Overall, Minus posted a 1.21 rating over the course of twelve maps with ATK, ending his time with the team as their highest rated player by a wide margin.
Importantly, Dust2.us knows that Minus is not under contract with ATK, leaving the young AWPer free to pursue opportunities with Bad News Bears or other teams that look to enlist the player amidst the wider North American shuffle.
ATK's lineup is now:
- Gareth "MisteM" Ries
- Rhys "Fadey" Armstrong
- Wiljahne "mango" Smith
- Ian "motm" Hardy
- Daniel "sprayxd" Kogan (Coach)
- Austin "Classy" Lang (Analyst)
In other ATK news, the team's Israeli coach, Daniel "sprayxd" Kogan, has been discharged from the Israeli military and is set to join his teammates in Mexico.
