Attack of the Clones await their Fragadelphia Brentwood grand final opposition
The first day of play outside of St. Louis has concluded and Attack of the Clones, a mix made up of four ESEA Premier players and Khizar "MoMo" Rehman, are in prime position to take home the $1,500 cash prize and 4,000 Fragadelphia points after securing the upper bracket advantage for this afternoon's grand final.
As Dylan "SATURN" Finch aptly pointed out, he was also a part of the Infinity Gauntlet side that won the Fragadelphia 15: St. Louis LAN in Brentwood this past August. Once again, he finds himself paired with Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson and Kellar "SLIGHT" Nilan for their offline exploits, this time with MoMo and John "JTMythic" Timmerman rounding out the roster. They were given a first-round bye and then swept Hugh Jass Construction and boyfriend_peek2 to reach the best-of-five grand final, where they will enjoy a 1-0 map advantage.
The other noteworthy roster in attendance is Redbird Esports, the collegiate team from Illinois State University that features Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk. cxzi's side opened with a 2-0 win over Sassy Sunshines before dropping their next series 2-1 to boyfriend_peek2 and subsquent lower bracket match to IUPUI Jaguars by the same scoreline.
IUPUI Jaguars remains in contention and is currently squaring off in a rematch with Hugh Jass Construction, who sent them to the lower bracket where they defeated cxzi and friends. Hugh Jass Construction eliminated Sassy Sunshines after losing to Attack of the Clones to set up the rematch in the lower bracket final.
