MDL Recap Week 7 - New England Whalers and Recon 5 battle for first
Week seven of ESEA MDL Season 34 has concluded, notably seeing New England Whalers and Recon 5 finish the week exactly tied, with their upcoming match this week determining who will hold the first seed heading into the final week of the regular season.
Struggle was the name of the game this week for Mythic, as the team went 1-3 with David "DAVEY" Stafford standing-in for Donovan "zNf" Froid. With DAVEY, the team lost three close matches to Swedish Canadians, ex-Morning Light, and Levitate before ending the week on a high note with a surprisingly one-sided win over Recon 5; thanks in part to a massive performance from Kaitlin "Keiti" Boop.
Elsewhere in the division, Swedish Canadians continued to make good use of Adam "WolfY" Andersson while he is still able to play from America as he put up strong performances helping the team claim two wins and leap to third place.
AA also managed to leapfrog oNe in the playoff hunt with two modest wins over Infinity and ex-Morning Light, while also dropping a close match to New England Whalers.
