Dignitas fe and CAth part ways; potter takes shots
Team Dignitas announced earlier today that Catherine "CAth" Leroux would no longer be part of the team going forward.
CAth was the most recent addition to the team, who joined in February when they were still playing under Selfless Gaming. Prior to linking up with Selfless she was an original member of CLG Red.
Approached for comment by Dust2.us, team captain Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido had the following to say about Leroux's departure, and indicated that her replacement would soon be known:
We've decided to go in a new direction. Cath has enormous experience and our time with her included many positives. However, we felt there was a need for a fresh look at the game. As a team, we feel we've stalled in our progress. Winning the Girl Gamer Festival in Macau was a great success in our book, but we strive for far more. We're hoping our new addition (to be officially announced this week) will allow us to continue to improve so that we are competitive on a more broader scale.
Dignitas fe are currently:
- Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido
- Carolyn "artStar" Noquez
- Amanda "rain" smith
- Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie
- David "Xp3" Garrido (Coach)
CAth's former teammates wished her well, and that would have been the end of it; however, CLG Red's Christine "potter" Chi, a former teammate of Leroux's, tweeted that "If you have been cut from every team you been on or “left” multiple times maybe your the problem. "
Clearly inferring the message was directed at her, Leroux, in a now deleted tweet, replied that she had not been cut from CLG Red, which led to a back and forth between herself and Chi.
Stay tuned to Dust2.us to see who Dignitas fe's new fifth player will be, as well as a never-before-seen interview with EMUHLEET from ESL One New York.
