Wildcard didn't manage to reproduce against 9z what they did against Spirit, which culminated in a loss against the South American rivals. Now, Wildcard are on the brink of elimination on the Last Chance stage of Group B, where they have to face a KOI side that just lost 26-1 against The MongolZ across two maps.

After a great showing against Spirit, it seemed Wildcard could go on to do some damage against lower-ranked teams in the group but 9z would still be too much for them. Maybe today, against KOI, Wildcard can take their first ESL Pro League series win and stay alive in Malta.

KOI had been on the rise over the last few months, with an unprecedented Major qualification of a Portuguese-Spanish mix and some convincing results throughout the first half of the year.
