Off Season Shenanigans Season 6 reaches semifinals

Off Seasons Shenanigans Season 6 has reached the semifinals after five weeks of play, seeing the sold-out 32-team event narrowed down to four squads left fighting for the $1,500 top prize. Of the teams left in the running, two squads come from ESL Challenger League Season 49, with chill guys (ex-Revenge Nation) and Akimbo on opposite sides of the bracket. Additionally, chill guys are former champions, having won the league last year during Season 4.

Playoffs began on January 9th with some of the notable teams being knocked out in the round of sixteen and the quarterfinals including MCS, Tsunami, and Lycus Empire. Yesterday saw the first match of the semifinals played out, with Akimbo facing off against VitaPLUR for a spot in the finals.

While the match ended up being a 2-0 in favor of the Mongolian squad, it ended up being a relatively close affair, with Mirage going 13-8 before a close fight saw Akimbo take Anubis 13-10.
