malbsMd on beating Astralis: "This was for Swisher"

North America's Guatemalan superstar, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa, has been shining while competing for G2 at IEM Cologne 2024, with the "Doctor" putting on a clinic with the Desert Eagle Demon as he helped his side take down Astralis at IEM Cologne 2024. With that, Astralis have been eliminated from the competition while G2 are still on the hunt to make the LANXESS.

In his post-game interview following the win over Astralis, malbsMd said that the win was for his former M80 teammate Michael "Swisher" Schmid, referencing a personal conflict between Swisher and former HEROIC member Martin "stavn" Lund.

While the nature of the conflict isn't something for Dust2.us to get into, it has been an ongoing inside joke in the NA scene, and malbsMd was clearly honoring his former teammate today, especially with his massive 1.64 rating against the Danish side.
