Liquid are still coming back home

Liquid's expected roster still steady, despite recent events

Business as usual.

Liquid have been at the forefront of roster rumors this “offseason” after they have linked with two superstars of the world and one of Brazil’s most exciting prospects. The organization is reeling after a failed European venture that saw them languish to the bottom of tournament finishes while their North American rivals Complexity surged ahead with former star player Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski. As of now, Liquid have already removed Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov from the roster and is expected to announce further changes.

To get you up to speed, Liquid have made the decision to only retain two players on the roster; Keith "NAF" Markovic and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis. Josh "oSee" Ohm, Robert "Patsi" Isyanov, Rainwaker, and Damian "daps" Steele have all been moved away from the active roster. Joining the remaining two will be Casper "cadiaN" Møller, Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken, and Felipe "skullz" Medeiros with a returning coach in Wilton "zews" Prado.

It's a star-studded move that is set to catapult the struggling team into immediate Major contending status. However, fans have become concerned that given recent changes within the scene, the dream of Liquid actually acquiring these players completely falls through. With fans reeling off of Nikola "NiKo" Kovač's failed move to Falcons, some are wondering if Twistzz might do the same now that FaZe continues to dominate on the international scene.

Sources have told Dust2.us that North American fans should not be concerned about the Liquid team going forward. Twistzz, cadiaN, and skullz have all agreed to join the organization and their commitment still stands. Despite the staunch performances by FaZe, Twistzz has not deviated from joining Liquid and is expected to become a player for them before the end of the year.

Both Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Martin "stavn" Lund are now rumored to be leaving Heroic and now fans believe that cadiaN might return to the organization. The IGL will be playing for the squad during the BLAST Premier Fall Final as his last event with the squad. This has not changed the players mind, however, and he still intends to play for Liquid when all is said and done.

As for skullz, Dust2.us knows that Liquid is continuing to make headway on the player and organization amid a buyout fee in the range of $400,000 to $600,000.

For Liquid, the team is expected to wrap up everything before the end of the year. The organization and players remain committed to building this new superteam and returning back to North America where they had been for so long.
