London to host BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024
BLAST announced that the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 will be played in the OVO Arena Wembley in Wembley, London. This is the first time the city will receive a top-tier CS event since the 2018 FACEIT Major.
The event will run from June 12th until the 16th, with the first two days played behind closed doors at the venue. Tickets will be available for pre-sale on October 25th and the general sale will be on October 27th.
If BLAST's format for these events doesn't change, eight teams will compete in London for a prize pool of $425,000 and a spot in the BLAST Premier World Final 2024. Six of those eight will be partner teams qualified through the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024, and the other two will come from the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, with both tournaments' details yet to be announced.
BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 will mark the return of Counter-Strike events to London since the FACEIT Major 2018, which Astralis won. This was a solid major for North American teams and players, as everyone from the region, except Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham's Cloud9, managed to reach the playoffs.
