Official: EliGE leaves Liquid
After eight years with Liquid, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski is departing Liquid. Having conquered the Intel Grand Slam, several dominant tournament runs, and been a part of a legendary org in North America, his time is over with the organization. EliGE sports the longest reign in an organization in all of professional Counter-Strike, an era that is soon coming to an end as he is poised for a new life elsewhere in the title.
Current reports suggest that EliGE is headed to fellow North American organization Complexity, who have become the frontrunners for his signature after negotiations with Evil Geniuses took a massive turn. Originally, Evil Geniuses was planning on creating a European-core roster with EliGE as an experienced veteran, however those plans began to fall apart late last night. EG then decided to shift towards the EG Black roster to supplement the main team, something that EliGE did not find appealing.
As of this morning, the rifler is leaning towards Complexity as his new option, with the Cowboys-owned organization doing what they can to entice one of America's best players into their home. While the BLAST roster lock has passed, there is still time for these players to finalize contracts and ensure they meet the regulations of the event without incurring a penalty.
