Cooper and fl0m sound the alarm on Steam exploit
The NA streamers are warning others about an exploit affecting Steam accounts.
Austin "Cooper" Abadir and Erik "fl0m" Flom are ringing alarm bells after finding a new issue with Steam accounts that allows a player's IP address to be pulled and for that person to be hit offline.
This issue has stopped fl0m from streaming, as every time he has gone live in the past day, he is booted offline. The Mythic captain was unable to stream their ESEA Advanced match last night v. Immigrants Peek.
fl0m stated that while being a streamer makes him a bigger target, anyone could be affected by this exploit.
It is still unknown exactly how the exploit works and whether there is a better way to protect yourself.
