CS2 topped esports betting in 2024

And it's not even close.

The Global Esports Betting Monitor, a quarterly report released by Abios and Sharpr, revealed that CS2 continues to lead in the betting sector. Over 55% of all wagers made in esports last year were related to Counter-Strike.

Not only that but CS2 peaked at 64% of all esports settings in Q4 2024, according to the latest Global Esports Betting Monitor report.

Much of that happened because of the Perfect World Shanghai Major in December. The report says that the Chinese Major accounted for 28% of Q4 2024.

The average age of the CS2 bettor is 31 years old and live betting accounted for 46% of all Counter-Strike betting in the last quarter of 2024. Player prop bets, including "total kills by player", made up 13% of the CS2 wagers during the same period.

Here are the esports titles that led in betting in 2024:

  • Counter-Strike: 55%

  • League of Legends: 25%

  • Dota 2: 10%

  • VALORANT: 5%
