All teams invited to BLAST Open Lisbon 2025

BLAST have announced on February 7th all the twelve teams invited to BLAST Open Lisbon 2025. Curiously, the group stage will be played in Copenhagen, Denmark at BLAST studios between March 19th to 24th.

Then the six teams who advance to playoffs will travel to Lisbon, Portugal to play in front of a live crowd between March 28th to 30th.

Unlike IEM Dallas 2025 and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, all teams invited to BLAST Open Lisbon agreed to play at the event. This means that the top twelve teams in the Valve global ranking will be present at BLAST Open Lisbon.

The group stage portion of the $400,000 event will feature a double-elimination format. The 16 teams in attendance will be split into two groups and the top three teams of each group will advance to the playoffs. While each group winner will move directly to the semifinals, the remaining will have to play in the quarterfinals.

And, when BLAST Open Lisbon move to Portugal at the MEO Arena for the playoffs, the teams will play in a single-elimination bracket. All the matches of BLAST Open Lisbon will be best-of-three series apart from the grand finals, which will be a best-of-five.

The remaining four spots at BLAST Open Lisbon will be decided via BLAST Rising tournaments in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.

The North American event is scheduled for February 13th to 14th and will feature eight teams. BOSS, NRG, Nouns, and Getting Info received invites, while the other four will be decided via the closed qualifier.
