Premier Season Two is coming to CS2 next week
Valve has announced on January 24th that Premier Season Two will kick off next week and last until the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June. Along with the new Premier Season, Valve will swap Vertigo for Train in the matchmaking mode and, most notably, adjust the price of the M4A4.
Moving forward, the M4A4 will cost $2900, the same price as the M4A1-S. The silenced CT-rifle saw an uptick in popularity as CTs have to be more cautious with their economy in MR12.
Valve had previously decreased the price of the M4A4 from $3100 to $3000 in May 2024, but that wasn't enough to make the weapon as popular as the M4A1-S.
On top of this M4A4 update, Valve has reworked the FAMAS. The cheaper CT rifle has been somewhat abandoned in casual and pro play due to being weaker than the SMG MP9 in many scenarios.
The FAMAS will receive "improvements to its standing and crouching accuracy" and will be cheaper too. Valve, however, didn't disclose how much the FAMAS will cost.
Before Premier Season Two arrives, the mode will be offline for a full day as Valve will recalibrate everyone's CS Rating based on Season One's performance. All players will have to win 10 matches to re-establish their ranking.
When Premier Season Two concludes, players will get a medal based on their final rank and total wins.
