All eyes will look toward Mexico in May

BLAST Premier Rivals heads to Monterrey in May

Mexico will host its first tier-one CS event since 2017.

Yesterday, January 23rd, BLAST announced Premier Rivals will take place in Monterrey, Mexico from May 2nd to May 4th. In collaboration with Liga Ace, BLAST will be putting $1,000,000 up for grabs in prize pool and participation fees.

Eight teams will be attending the event, the top four according to the Valve Ranking System (VRS) and then the top-ranked teams from North America, South America, Europe, and Asia that are not in the top four globally.

The eight teams will be split into two groups of four, where three teams in each group will qualify for the playoffs. The top-seeded side in either group will go into the semifinals, while the other four teams will face off in the quarterfinals. The winner of the single-elimination playoff bracket will take home $125,000 in prize money.
