Perfect World reveal impressive attendance at Shanghai Major Opening Stage

Perfect World have revealed the attendance figures for the Opening Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major, confirming strong attendance by Chinese fans at the country's first CS Major. According to figures provided by Perfect World to Dust2 Brasil, the Opening Stage saw 4,000 fans in attendance during the first four days of the Major.

This of course, will come as no surprise to anyone watching PGL's stream, as the the broadcast has shown off two packed crowds watching each of the matches at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, with fans turning up to matches regardless of the teams being local heroes or fan-favorites (Unlike another recent Major).

According to Perfect World, they expect to see similar attendance during the Elimination Stage as all tickets for that stage, as with the previous stage, are sold out.

Following the conclusion of the Elimination Stage, the event will move to the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center which can accommodate up to 13,000 fans and will be open to non-Chinese fans.
