1000+ gamer survey suggests LoL players are smarter than CS2 players
A recent study from UK site WhichBingo that surveyed and studied over 1,000 gamers says that Counter-Strike 2 players have above average intelligence, but not quite the highest.
The study surveyed 1,002 gamers before administering an intelligence test, and League of Legends players managed to score the highest with an average IQ level of 120.4. Sitting behind LoL are gamers who primarily play Black Myth: Wukong and Baldur's Gate 3, and behind those two are Counter-Strike players with an average IQ level of 116.1.
According to the survey, anything above 115 IQ is considered "above average intelligence," and the Counter-Strike playerbase has a higher recorded IQ than the players who play games like Overwatch 2, Dota 2, Deadlock, or Rainbow Six Siege. At the very bottom of the study, players that play EA FC or FIFA recorded an average IQ of just 89.8, which is just above the 85 point threshold between low and average intelligence.

Does this mean that playing Counter-Strike automatically makes you smarter? Probably not, but it could mean you have a leg up against those that play other games, or against people who don't play games at all.
