BOSS eliminated from Pro League
BOSS will be heading home after a tough defeat against the re-building Ninjas in Pyjamas in the 8th place decider match. BOSS also played both BIG and FlyQuest where the unsigned organization also put up close fights which could have gone their way if it wasn't just for a few unfortunate mishaps. Despite the loss to NIP overall, they can take solace in their win on Vertigo and the decent fight they put up overall.
Ancient was a tough map for BOSS as their map pick didn't start the way they wanted. Against BIG the Americans showed an exemplary T-side, but against NIP it was much harder for them to get things to go their own way. BOSS only claimed four rounds on their T-side and were held to the same number of rounds on their CT-side as they fell 13-8 on their own pick.
Vertigo was a turn of good fortune for the Americans as they somehow were able to turn the tide and bring the series to a third and final map. It was a tough first half as BOSS went down 1-4 to start things off, but they rallied back to tie it up at six. The Americans proceeded to use that momentum to get to a 10-6 lead, before suddenly allowing NIP back into the game. BOSS somehow closed it out at 13-11, giving us a final map.
Inferno was tough for BOSS as they never got things going defensively. NIP took the first five rounds before BOSS responded with two of their own and eventually ended the half 3-9. While the Americans did secure the opening pistol, they couldn't get much more going as they were eventually stopped and lost 13-5, eliminating them from ESL Pro League.
