emy: "I'm pretty blessed GooseBreeder brought me back into the squad"
It's been a while since we've seen Emma "emy" Choe in Counter-Strike. The rifler was a mainstay of CLG Red for over five years where she established herself as one of the best women's Counter-Strike players in the world as CLG Red racked up win after international win. emy can count WESG 2018, Copenhagen Games 2019, and NEST Pro Series 2019 wins as some of her crowning achievements.
Despite the success, emy left in 2022 to try her hand at VALORANT and joined Faze Clan's GameChangers squad for a few months in 2023. However, her time in VALORANT came to an end in 2024 when she decided to come back to Counter-Strike and joined FlyQuest RED. At Fragadelphia, the veteran spoke with Dust2.us' Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore about the event, her comeback, and enjoying Counter-Strike once again.

How do you feel like your match against Fisher College went?
It was tough, definitely. The first map we went down 0-7 or 0-8, but we brought it back to 8-8, I think after that we just threw some crucial rounds, it was not on any one person, it was on all of us. When it came to Mirage, we couldn't get our footing, no one's fault it's just the rhythm of the game, sometimes you just don't get the rhythm. It was a fun match and they are really nice guys.
More broadly, how are you enjoying your time back in CS, so far? This is your first CS LAN since Frag 15
I love coming to Frags, meeting these amazing people, meeting people that I have met online before, playing at cool venues everytime we come to Frag. I think this venue has its perks, it's just a little hot in some of the areas but it's really nice being back in CS and playing CS on LAN again feels a lot better than playing VALORANT on LAN and the game overall just feels a lot better.
What prompted your decision to return to CS from VALORANT?
I was actually quitting gaming by the end of November and I was thinking of going back to school, but then GooseBreeder reached out to me and she wanted to know if I was interested in coming back to CS and seeing if I had the love for it and we just plugged a little bit. The stars just kind of aligned, I wasn't planning to come back to CS, it just kind of happened. I'm pretty blessed for GooseBreeder bringing me back to the squad.
