Liquid reportedly moving on from Patsi, per insider
It appears that Liquid is making a dramatic change already, just three months after moving away from North America to a European major. CIS insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov has reported this afternoon that Liquid is now removing its prized Russian addition, Robert "Patsi" Isyanov.
The addition of Patsi to Liquid four months ago in late June was supposed to provide additional firepower alongside Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis to create an overpowered-hyper aggressive duo that could crush opponents. However, that has never come to fruition as Liquid has floundered internationally while alienating fans from back home.
This follows the benching of Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov in the beginning of the month and the rumored move of Casper "cadiaN" Møller to Liquid earlier this week. Liquid, understanding that their performances have not even met the lowest of expectations, are clearly looking to shake things up as they head into the Counter-Strike 2 season and lead into the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major.
Liquid have crashed out of several events so far, including Gamers8, ESL Pro League, and IEM Cologne Play-Ins, but are scheduled to play next week at the Thunderpick World Championship 2023, if they even have a complete roster by then.
Dust2.us has reached out to a representative from Liquid, but they declined to comment.
