EliGE turned down Complexity offer
Liquid and Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski have been in the news in recent days, thanks to reports that Liquid is looking to move to a European core and that EliGE will not be a part of the lineup moving forward. Having been with the team since 2015, this is the eighth year that the player and organization have been together. It is now all coming to an end.
In recent days, Liquid have been looking to find a new home for EliGE, with Evil Geniuses reportedly being his primary suitor. Thanks to new information obtained by Dust2.us, it is known that fellow North American side Complexity were in the mix for the player.
Complexity had the funds to meet with Liquid's buyout for the player, which is described as flexible, but still approximately $100,000. Sources close to the negotiations understand that Liquid and Complexity had discussed a fee for the player and even went so far as to make an offer. However, it is understood that EliGE is more attracted by Evil Geniuses' offer at this point. At this time, it is unknown who EliGE would have replaced on the Complexity starting lineup.
Now, all eyes are on Evil Geniuses and if they will be able to fully secure their roster, which is also expected to be a European core featuring Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, Audric "JACKZ" Jug, and Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko. With days to go before the BLAST Premier roster lock for the Fall Group stage, some moves will likely be finished by Thursday.
