TenZ leaves Bad News Bears
Tyson "TenZ" Ngo has announced that he is leaving Bad News Bears. The news late last night came on the heels of the Bears' 16-4 drubbing of Singularity, which was the cause of much popcorn eating on Twitter, and a 12-16 loss to Ascent.
During his time with Test Takers/Bad News Bears, TenZ helped the team make it to the closed qualifiers for IEM Sydney and ESL One Cologne, as well as a second place finish in MDL Season 30.
It is expected that Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker will slot right into the spot left by TenZ, meaning that Austin "crashies" Roberts will remain with the team.
In an ongoing tradition, Jeff "RZU" Ngo has returned to the team for stand-in duty for both yay and crashies, with the former completing his own stand-in obligations to Complexity tonight, and the latter going on vacation shortly.
With the change, Bad News Bears roster is set to be:
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Josh "shinobi" Abastado
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Austin "crashies" Roberts
- Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker
- Jeff "RZU" Ngo (Backup)
As of now, Bad News Bears' next scheduled match will be the Grand Finals of Mythic Cup 2, currently set to take place on May 19th. If this schedule holds, it will be yay's first match with the team.
