adreN to miss start of ESL Pro League Season 15
Dust2.us has confirmed with Liquid that Eric "adreN" Hoag will miss the start of Liquid's run in Group C of ESL Pro League Season 15 due to a personal matter delaying travel. In his place, the team will field Steve "jokasteve" Perino, Liquid's general manager, as a stand-in coach while awaiting adreN's arrival.
Should everything go as planned, adreN is set to arrive on the last day of Liquid's group stage run, March 27th, when the team is set to take on Players (Gambit's renamed lineup).
While adreN's absence will definitely be felt for Liquid, jokasteve is no stranger to coaching the team, having previously stood behind the team during PGL Stockholm 2021 following the birth of adreN's son. Looking back in the team's history, jokasteve has stood behind the team in multiple events including ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 and ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals.
Liquid head into ESL Pro League Season 15 off the back of qualifying to the PGL Antwerp 2022 Major Americas RMR after besting North America's domestic competition without any difficulty.
Unfortunately for the squad, they have shown less than impressive form in recent months, bombing out of IEM Katowice 2022 and BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022 in the early stages of the competitions, with their only win being against Evil Geniuses.
As such, ESL Pro League Season 15 will be an important event for Liquid as they look to re-enter HLTV's Top 30 World Ranking. The team currently sit at 33rd in the world and 2nd in North America behind Complexity.
Liquid will start ESL Pro League Season 15 with:
-
Jonathan "ELiGE" Jablonowski
-
Keith "NAF" Markovic
-
Joshua "oSee" Ohm
-
Richard "shox" Papillon
-
Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella
-
Steve "jokasteve" Perino (Stand-in Coach)
Liquid's first match of ESL Pro League Season 15 will be against BIG on March 23rd at 02:30PM.
