Complexity collapse in Falcons rematch
Things were looking hot for NA as the Americans repeated their success on Nuke and dominated the Europeans' pick, but celebration soon turned into disaster as Complexity was unable to find their footing on their own pick of Vertigo and was crushed while playing the final map of Anubis.
The squad came into the event as one of the favorites to advance to the Fall Final, but this upset loss is just another disappointing finish at the start of this Fall season.
As we mentioned before, Complexity roared out of the gate in this first matchup against Falcons as they utterly dominated on Nuke. The Americans were strong on their CT-side as they procured nine rounds to gain a sizable lead before swiftly closing out the second half with a 13-6 win.
Vertigo was expected to be smooth sailing for Complexity, but the Americans struggled to get their T-side going as they managed a meager four rounds in the first half. After securing the second-half pistol, Complexity seemed to find their momentum as they nearly tied up the map, but Falcons pulled away to tie up the series 1-1 thanks to their 13-10 victory.
Anubis could have been a chance for Complexity to find some redemption, but everything spelled disaster as the lineup failed to stop the Falcons offense. The Americans were constantly pushed to the brink as they won four rounds, three of which were in post-plant situations. From there, it was simply no contest as the European side wrapped up the game 13-5 to send Complexity home from their European adventure without a Fall Final place in hand.
Complexity will now have their next event being ESL Pro League Season 20
