Remaining Advanced playoff teams locked in for MDL Season 34 Relegation
With just over a week to go in the ESEA Advanced Season 34 playoffs, we are down to just six teams. All of them are guaranteed a spot in MDL Season 34 Relegation, where they will face off with Infinity, Buffdaddy's Paypal Team, and either an invited team or another of their Advanced brethren.
Notably, Big Chillin has already been eliminated and will not be attending the relegation tournament. Big Chillin was a top three team in the playoff power rankings with their rather stable core lineup and solid regular season results, but bowed out following an upper bracket loss to Third Impact, then promptly lost their first lower bracket series to ImPerium.

On the flip side of things, the community poll gave little credit to teef, which proved to be justified. The 11-5 side were easily handled by Big Chillin in the opening round, then promptly forfeited their lower bracket matchup to bow out in dead last.
Thunder Logic and RBG have reached the upper bracket final having lost just one map between them. Thunder Logic swept 26 Rising, Kinship, and Third Impact (following triple overtime in map one and overtime in map two), while RBG swept Savage and Lethal Divide. RBG's road was a bit rockier, as they required a reverse sweep of Hyper following a double overtime loss on the opening map of Inferno.
Two players to keep an eye on within that Thunder Logic and RBG series are Sean "Inseaniac" Morrison and Jadan "HexT" Postma, as the pair of Canadians have been doing a substantial amount of heavy lifting for their respective squads. Inseaniac has 157 frags so far in these ESEA Advanced playoffs, while HexT is leading the way for his squad with 170.
Third Impact will play their first lower bracket matchup after their 2-0 loss to Thunder Logic. Prior to that they swept Addice and Big Chillin with Thomas "tconnors" Connors contributing 165 kills so far this postseason. They will be met by Hyper, who were knocked down to the lower bracket by the other upper bracket finalist RBG. Hyper has dispatched Front, 26 Rising, and Addice in 2-0 fashion already and will look to Hunter "florgy" Coulson to add to his 229 playoff frags.

Finally, Kinship will meet Lethal Divide tonight. Kinship beat SKDC and lost early to Thunder Logic, but ran it back in the lower bracket and beat both Savage and ImPerium 2-0. Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield has led the way with 190 frags and Koby "kobruh" Higgs has not been far behind with 171. Their opponents, Lethal Divide, managed to eke out two 2-0 wins over ImPerium and Supernova before getting swept by RBG, setting up their first lower bracket match tonight.
